A system to measure thin films using X-rays is installed.
Oct. 2011 A contact-type, desktop thickness-meter is installed.
This allows the continuous measurement of film thickness for battery electrodes.
Apr. 2011 Our R&D proposal is approved to be one of the 2011 gStrategic Core Technology Advancement Programh projects sponsored by MITI (the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in Japan). The aim of the approved project is to develop electroluminescent inks for thin-film white light sources.

2009

Dec. 2009 The R-800DB high-precision coating machine for lithium-ion battery electrodes is installed at Technicum so we can start using it to perform testing services.
Dec. 2009 A regenerative thermal oxidizer is installed at Technicum to deal with VOCs (voltaic organic compound) emissions.
Oct. 2009 Our R&D proposal is approved to be one of the 2009 gStrategic Core Technology Advancement Programh projects, financed by the Japanese governmentfs supplementary budget for FY2009. The aim of the project is to develop electroluminescent inks for thin-film white light sources.

Cap Coater, a new thin film coating machine, is developed through the implementation of new coating technology using the capillary phenomenon of a German company, STEAG.
Nov. 1998 Sales contract with a US company C.C.R. for nanotech slot die
Coating technology to stabilize coating bead, realized by putting coating section under negative pressure, is implemented.
Oct. 1998 Development of MgO Coater
MgO Coater, using an ultrasonic spray method, is developed. Coater forms protection films for PDP (MgO) in atmospheric pressure instead of vacuum deposition.
Oct. 1998 Renewal of testing machine: Single Plate Coater
Coater is renewed to realize precise control for the beginning and ending of coating process, while the drive system is changed to avoid coating unevenness.
